The Swim Edit

Swimwear that doubles as outerwear is my ultimate lazy-girl outfit. Though I like to think of it more as clever-thinking as appose to lazy.

There's nothing better than styling an oversized tee over a one piece or a high waisted skirt with a bikini - the very outfits that give you those ~holiday feels~ for sure.

These are some of my favourite swimwear styles and how i've styled them.

UTILITARIAN.

I love a khaki shirt for it's effortless laidback luxe feel and the contrast with a one-piece swimsuit. I picked up mine (with added bonus of shoulder pads) from an op shop for $3 but you can find similar ones easily from ZARA, Anine Bing or a vintage store.

HIGH WAISTED.

Everything high waisted rules with bikini tops. Jeans, split skirts, denim shorts - the denim looks a little 70's street and the skirts have that retro glam feel. This look is my favourite with soft waves air-dyed and fresh-faced or wet slick hair with just a bold lip.

OVERSIZED.

Old faithful! Definitely works best with printed party-shirts or soft lush linens. leave it open for a v. comfortable outfit with beachside charm and then belt it afterwards for a beach-to-bar outfit.
